Our Mission
The Muslim Athletic Association is dedicated to positively impacting the world by utilizing the power of sports and community to uplift those in need. Our mission is to collect donations to support orphans in Palestine, Syria, and Turkey, providing them with the resources and opportunities necessary to thrive. We believe every child deserves a chance to reach their full potential, regardless of their circumstances, and we are committed to doing everything possible to make this a reality. Through our fundraising efforts, we hope to inspire others to join us in our mission to make a meaningful difference in the lives of these young children and create a brighter future for all.
Our Goal
Our goal is to raise $10,000 in donations to support orphans in need, providing them with access to education, healthcare, and basic necessities such as food and shelter. We believe that by coming together as a community and contributing what we can, we can significantly impact the lives of these children and help create a brighter future for them.
Donating to support orphans is a deeply humanitarian act that can help to alleviate the suffering of vulnerable children who have been through unimaginable hardships. These children often lack access to basic resources and are at risk of falling behind in their education or suffering from health problems.
Our Message
We are excited to announce that the Muslim Athletic Association has partnered with Islamic Relief to support orphans in Palestine, Turkey, and Syria. Our joint efforts will provide these vulnerable children with access to essential resources such as education, healthcare, and basic necessities.
We believe that these children deserve our support and attention as soon as possible. The ongoing conflicts and political unrest in these countries have left countless children without homes, families, or any means of support. This situation has created a humanitarian crisis that requires immediate action to address the needs of these children. We urge our community to join us in supporting these children through our partnership with Islamic Relief. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of these orphans by providing them with access to the resources and support they need to thrive. How we’re supporting orphans and children in need
At Islamic Relief, we don’t believe in simply providing one-off care to support children and orphans in need. We instead invest in children’s long-term futures, supporting their families, carers and local communities to provide long-lasting safe sustainable solutions to poverty and inequality.
We work as a Muslim orphan charity to provide child-friendly safe spaces, empower communities and develop long-term solutions to poverty and critical issues such as human trafficking, child labour, and child marriage.
We support children across the globe in a variety of ways, including: sponsoring orphaned children across the globe, providing schooling, regular meals and financial support for careers/families, providing Syrian refugee children with critical education, housing and nutritional support, offering critical food aid to severely malnourished children in conflict-fueled Yemen, and ensuring that children living with disabilities and the trauma of war in Gaza can access critical medical and psychosocial care.
By providing nutritional services, health care, water solutions, education and family livelihood support, as well as striving to tackle critical issues including gender-based violence, child labour and climate change with affect local communities and in particular young girls, we’re not only transforming futures; we’re saving lives.
Orphan Charity: Save a child’s life today
Every child deserves the best start in life: a happy home, a safe place to play and access to quality education, medical care and nutrition.
However, for the 1 in 5 children worldwide living in extreme poverty, many of these simple necessities and rights are out of reach. Instead, their life is incredibly challenging, with the risk of illiteracy, disease, child labour, lifelong poverty and even death.
Living in refugee camps, traumatized by war or simply unable to go to school in their local community due to crippling poverty, these children and orphan kids lack the means to keep safe at home, access critical education and medical and/or psychosocial care. Their futures look unsafe, uncertain and bleak.
“The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: ‘I and the one who looks after an orphan will be like this in Paradise,’ showing his middle and index fingers and separating them.” (Bukhari)

Giving charity to orphans in Islam
Charity protects one from calamity, acts as shade on the Day of Judgement, and showers us in Allah’s (SWT) blessings. Your Zakat and Sadaqah Jariyah when you sponsor an orphan or provide medical and education support to needy children contains so much barakah.
The importance of giving charity to orphans in Islam is highlighted by Prophet Muhammad (SAW): “The best house among the Muslims is the house in which orphans are well-treated. The worst house is the one in which orphans are ill-treated.” [Bukhari]
Not only will your donation mean that orphans and their families benefit immediately but these programs will provide the tools to support themselves and pass on to the next generation, and the benefit will be ongoing. It is a Sadaqah Jariyah unlike any other!
This means the effect of your one donation will be multiplied to help orphan after orphan and family after family access food, medical care, clean water, and education in a dignified manner for years to come. It is the gift that keeps giving, and will continuously help you to earn rewards.
