As-salamu alaykum,

On February 6th, 2023, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck parts of Turkey and Syria for 80 seconds. This earthquake left citizens, who were living normal lives, homeless and without shelter or a roof over their heads. People were unaware of where to go or what to do when their families and loved ones could not be found. NGOs and rescue teams on the ground have been aiding in relief efforts and digging people out of the rubble for days after the disaster. The destruction caused by the earthquake was massive, and the number of casualties kept rising every day. As of now, the casualties are over 50,000 and still counting.

This Ramadan, I have partnered with Islamic Relief Canada, who were on the ground (and still are) when the tragedy occurred and are continuously providing aid. I will be crowdfunding for the Turkiye-Syria earthquake appeal. 

I humbly request your support and ask you to join us in our efforts to aid those who cannot ask for themselves. Your donation, no matter how big or small, will make a difference in the lives of those affected by the earthquake.
