Water Wells - Building Sustainable Water Solutions-2025
The Water Wells Project will provide sustainable access to clean drinking water through modern tap-connected water wells for rural communities in six states: Odisha, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, and Rajasthan. With 10 water wells per state (total 60 wells), each equipped with a storage tank and multiple taps, the project will serve approximately 12,000–15,000 people, ensuring: • Reliable, safe, and hygienic water access • Reduction in waterborne diseases • Time savings for women and children, enabling education and livelihood opportunities • Community ownership and management for long-term sustainability Project Duration : 3 months Cost per Water Well : $1,690 Total Project Cost : $101,400 The project emphasizes modern infrastructure, community engagement, and sustainability, with each well designed for 10–15 years of operation.
