40 Years With Islamic Relief

Remembering a Legacy of Compassion and Change

For four decades, Islamic Relief has been weaving a thread of hope, compassion, and positive change across 40 countries. With your support, we've touched the lives of 120 million people, creating a world where no one is left behind. Join us in honoring our 40th anniversary and continue the journey of transforming lives. Thank you for being part of our story.

While we empathize deeply with the suffering of our brothers and sisters in Gaza, we also recognize that other marginalized and underprivileged communities are facing significant reductions in funding and are in desperate need of assistance. Please help to support these vulnerable communities in Pakistan today.

At the heart of every community lies the potential for change and resilience. In Pakistan, countless individuals and families face significant challenges, from access to basic necessities to navigating crises with limited resources. My fundraiser aims to channel this hope into tangible impact by supporting vulnerable communities across Pakistan. With your generous donation, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families, providing essential resources, opportunities, and a pathway towards a brighter future. Join us in our mission to create positive change and foster hope in every corner of Pakistan.

This fundraiser is dedicated to supporting a wide range of critical initiatives aimed at addressing pressing needs in Pakistan. Your donation will directly impact the lives of those in need, and serve as a lifeline for individuals and families, offering hope, dignity, and the resources they need to thrive. The funds are being raised for programs that will legally safeguarding children at risk, including both street-connected children, children residing in various facilities and other children at risk, and education and training regarding domestic violence and sexual abuse for girls. In particular, the funds will be allocated towards:

1. Orphan Support: Providing care, shelter, and educational opportunities for orphaned children.

2. Widow Empowerment: Offering support services, skills training, and resources to widowed individuals.

3. Sanitation Kits and Food Distribution: Distributing hygiene kits to improve sanitation practices and prevent diseases; while ensuring food security for vulnerable populations through regular distribution efforts.

4. Home Rebuilding: Reconstructing homes for families affected by natural disasters or socio-economic challenges.

5. Emergency Relief: Providing immediate assistance and relief efforts during times of crisis.

6. Education Initiatives: Establishing schools, scholarships, and educational programs to empower youth.

7. Skills Training: Equipping individuals with vocational skills to enhance employment opportunities.

8. Providing underserved schools with supplies and child needs.

9. Spreading awareness against domestic violence, sexual abuse and child labor.

10. Providing medical assistance to children and widows with disabilities.

... and more!

My Inspire 2023 Journey in Pakistan with Islamic Relief Canada

Islamic Relief Canada’s Volunteer Abroad Programs are a unique way to contribute to some of IR Canada’s international projects. Before volunteering abroad, selected volunteers to raise funds that go directly to the project they will be assisting with.

While on the field study, volunteers will be part of a collaborative program where they will take part in several activities, including peer-to-peer learning opportunities, food distributions, beneficiary home visits, and building refurbishment.

This experience allows volunteers to see an existing IR Canada project, contribute to the project through their fundraising efforts, and positively interact with beneficiaries and project staff.

Since 1992, Islamic Relief Canada has been supporting vulnerable communities in Pakistan through WASH assistance, health services, the construction of shelters, winterization kits, livelihood development projects, and the distribution of food (including Ramadan and Qurbani programs). Pakistan is home to more than four million orphans. Being a vulnerable population, orphans are more likely to suffer from malnutrition, food insecurity, and physical/mental abuse compared to children living with their parents.

Islamic Relief works with communities to strengthen their resilience to calamities, and we provide vital emergency aid when disasters occur.

We help the impoverished access basic services, including education, water and sanitation, as well as healthcare. We provide lasting routes out of poverty through our sustainable development schemes. Our integrated approach to progress is transforming communities worldwide.

We tackle the root causes of poverty and make sure that the world’s most vulnerable people have real influence in both our programs and advocacy.

Our key values, of compassion, justice, custodianship, sincerity and excellence – a critical part of our Islamic faith - inspire us each and every day to create positive change and remember the sanctity of life.

In line with Islamic teachings on the value of every human life, we provide assistance to whoever needs it most, regardless of race, religion or gender. We work to transform and save lives of people in crisis both Canada and across the world.

Let us share the khair from the blessings Allah has bestowed upon us.
