This Ramadan, there are 1000s of Gazan's living without basic necessities like food, water and health supplies. Islamic Relief and BSL need your help to ensure that families in Gaza receive essential, high-quality, and nutritious food to sustain them for an entire month. Islamic Relief will help the families of Gaza access basic services, including food, water, and sanitation, as well as healthcare. They provide lasting routes out of poverty through our sustainable development schemes. They will provide food packs and necessary health/medical supplies to the families of Gaza in need.
What’s Inside a Food Pack?
Depending on the region, each food pack holds around 125 pounds (62 kg ) of food on average and is designed to provide the essentials for a family of 5-7 people for one month.
Food items vary according to regional cuisines and are purchased through local markets to support local livelihoods and the local economy and ensure high quality products.
Each food pack usually contains:
Dates
Lentils
Rice
Sugar
Oil
Wheat
Canned meat and fish
About Brotherhood Sports League:
BSL is a volunteer-based organization that operates men’s recreational sports leagues in the Greater Toronto Area to build brotherhood and community engagement. Our mission is to be more than a league for our players, by building a bond that can be carried off the field to other areas especially community engagement and charitable initiatives.
