When a person dies, their good deeds come to an end, except three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, and a righteous child who will pray for them.”  – Sahih Muslim

The best charity for our loved ones who have passed, is the gift of continuous charity. In loving memory of Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef, his family and community have come together to build a well in his name

In Malawi, your donation will help build a hand pump borehole well with a depth of 35m-60m, depending on the ground level water levels. This well can benefit between 250 to 500 people inshaAllah.

In Ethiopia, your donation will help build a drip irrigation water system, covering 0.5 hectares that will provide clean water to family farms, supporting livelihoods and food security for an entire community inshaAllah.

Please donate with the intention of Sadaqa Jariya and keep him and his family in your duas. We thank you for trusting us with this precious gift and allowing us the means to support the most vulnerable people in Malawi and Ethiopia.

About Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef

Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef was a giant in our community, who raised a nation of dua makers in all of us, and taught us to always rely on Allah. He was born to Egyptian parents in 1975 in Winnipeg, Canada. After graduating with a degree in Islamic Law in 1999, he went on to found great institutions like DiscoverU and Al-Maghrib Institute which is now present across 40 cities around the world, teaching over 80,000 students.

He was someone who took full advantage of his time, spending it on what mattered most and what would lead to goodness in the next life. He has always said that the identity he aspires to be is that of a righteous man. In July 2022, he passed away in Dubai, UAE.

We pray that with Allah, he is entered among the righteous, for everything he taught us to be counted in his scale of good deeds with him, and that Allah beautifies his reception, forgives him his sins, and enters him into the highest stations of paradise. May all of his work continue to be a sadaqa jariya for him until the Last Day, ameen.
