40 Years With Islamic Relief

Remembering a Legacy of Compassion and Change

For four decades, Islamic Relief has been weaving a thread of hope, compassion, and positive change across 40 countries.
With your support, we've touched the lives of 120 million people, creating a world where no one is left behind. Join us in honoring our 40th anniversary and continue the journey of transforming lives. Thank you for being part of our story.

This fundraiser is being organized by
Masjid Al-Fatima

Masjid Al Fatima is vital to the daily lives of our Muslim community.

The Masjid is not only focused on maintaining a safe space for daily prayers, but continues to offer social services through these challenging times. These social services help all ages and groups including the youth. Please help support the Masjid during these challenging times and to continue working toward the vision to build a fully operational facility.

The Masjid was architecturally designed to create a beautiful place for the Edmonton Muslim community to answer to the call of prayers. A huge domed main Musallah and separate hall for women caters to the 5 time prayers needs. A funeral services room with most modern amenities to help the community in preparing the departed is part of the Masjid plan. Not just arranging funeral services, we are also planning to have grief counselling to help the grieving family. Our services make the Masjid, not just a prayer hall but a community hub.

We are currently under construction and nearing the finish line. Please donate as we try to reach the goal of servicing our community.

Those who help the masjid by giving time or financial donations are the ones whose reward is manifold.

May Allah accept your Sadaqah Jariyah.

About Masjid Al-Fatima

Our Aim

Masjid Al-Fatima is an Ahle-Sunnah Mosque located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It is a registered charitable non-profit organization (Charity No # 814436366RR 0001)

Established in 1995, the Masjid initially aimed to serve the spiritual need of local Muslim Community of Edmonton. Over the years, we have evolved to reflect the diversity of those who worship at the mosque and seek to use our services. Our multi-ethnic imams are the best reflection of this.

At Masjid Al-Fatima (SA), we offer range of educational and religious services such as Quran & Fiqh classes, free Tax clinics, whilst also promoting community cohesion.

We are proud of the way the mosque has become an important hub for faith-based and social activities and initiatives for the wider community. We believe this type of interaction is vital in promoting tolerance, understanding and inclusivity.

Alongside offering a place of worship for all Muslims, we also promote charitable causes for the benefit of those most in need in our local area. This includes children, the elderly, and those with disabilities, as well as the homeless and others in need of relief from poverty. We regularly campaign for human rights, equality, religious and racial harmony, and diversity.

Islamic Relief works with communities to strengthen their resilience to calamities, and we provide vital emergency aid when disasters occur.

We help the impoverished access basic services, including education, water and sanitation, as well as healthcare. We provide lasting routes out of poverty through our sustainable development schemes. Our integrated approach to progress is transforming communities worldwide.

We tackle the root causes of poverty and make sure that the world’s most vulnerable people have real influence in both our programs and advocacy.

Our key values, of compassion, justice, custodianship, sincerity and excellence – a critical part of our Islamic faith - inspire us each and every day to create positive change and remember the sanctity of life.

In line with Islamic teachings on the value of every human life, we provide assistance to whoever needs it most, regardless of race, religion or gender. We work to transform and save lives of people in crisis both Canada and across the world.

Let us share the khair from the blessings Allah has bestowed upon us.
