A Gift That Continues: Wells in Honour of Shahid Waheed

In loving memory of my grandfather, Shahid Waheed. I am launching this Water for Life campaign as a form of sadaqah jariyah; a continuous charity that will benefit him even after his passing.

My grandfather lived a life full of love, strength, and quiet generosity. As he would have turned 80 on October 18th, I wanted to honour his life in a way that continues to give, just like he did.

Through this campaign with Islamic Relief, we aim to build water wells that will provide clean, safe drinking water to communities in need.

Every drop of water will be a source of reward for him, insha’Allah.

The Prophet ﷺ taught us that when a person passes away, their deeds come to an end except for three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for them.

I pray that this initiative becomes a source of ongoing reward for my grandfather, and I invite you all to be part of this beautiful act of giving.❤️
