This year, my son and I are embarking on a journey like no other: the BADR Challenge with Islamic Relief Canada. This unique experience will take us through the historic terrain of the Battle of Badr in Saudi Arabia, trekking three mountains steeped in Islamic history and culminate with the profound spiritual blessings of visiting Madinah and performing Umrah in Makkah.

But this journey is not just about personal growth or spiritual reflection. We are taking on this challenge to raise $7,000, which will sponsor three orphans for an entire year, providing them with the education, food, healthcare, and care they need to thrive.

While we walk in the footsteps of history, these children navigate daily struggles for survival. With your support, we can give them stability, dignity and hope for a brighter future.
