Dania Ilyas Hikes for Clean Water

This year, I’m taking part in Hike for Change , a local challenge with a global impact — to raise vital funds for communities without access to clean, safe water.

While this hike may push me outside my comfort zone, it’s nothing compared to what millions around the world face every day, walking long distances just to access water, often from unsafe or contaminated sources.

I’ve committed to raising $300 in support of Islamic Relief Canada’s Water Project, which delivers life-changing clean water solutions to communities in need. Every step I take helps bring us closer to a world where no one has to suffer due to a lack of safe water.

Why It Matters

Over 2 billion people still don’t have access to safe drinking water. This crisis keeps families trapped in poverty and puts lives at risk every day.
