Through our Orphan Care Projects, your donation is pooled together to support orphans who are in need of some extra care, assist their mothers and even entire orphan families.
For any amount you choose – your support is allocated to meet their most essential needs, including:
1. Medical Aid: Assistive equipment, surgeries, therapy or treatment
2. Educational Support: Tuition fees, educational materials, tools, or skills training
3. Shelter Repair: Home repairs, electricity supply, clean water or sanitation facilities
4. Orphan Projects: Supporting education, health, social welfare, sports and leisure activities
Through our Orphan Care Projects fund, we work as a Muslim orphan charity to provide child-friendly safe spaces, empower communities and develop long-term solutions to poverty and critical issues such as human trafficking, child labour, and child marriage.
Every child deserves love, safety, and a chance to dream. Sadly, many orphaned children grow up without stable care, access to education, or basic necessities. This Ramadan, I’m fundraising to support orphan care—helping provide safe shelter, nutritious food, education and school supplies, healthcare, and emotional support.
My Experience
Alhamdulillah, I've been blessed with the opportunity to directly witness many orphans that are being supported through the Islamic Relief Canada Orphan Sponsorship Program, and witnessing the life-changing care these projects provide has been one of the most profound experiences of my life.
Through the beautiful 1-to-1 sponsorship model and also general donations that are pooled to deliver essential, holistic support—ensuring safe shelter, nutritious food, medical care, school fees, supplies, and even emotional nurturing for orphans and their families (often widows or guardians). I've seen firsthand how this consistent help transforms lives: children who once faced hunger and instability now attend school with bright eyes, receive vital healthcare (like surgeries or therapy when needed), and grow up in dignity rather than despair. In places hit by conflict, poverty, or disasters, these projects keep families together, protect against risks like child labor or early marriage, and build long-term hope—creating safe, child-friendly spaces and community empowerment.
The smiles, the thank-you letters from sponsored children, the stories of graduates pursuing education or giving back themselves (like one former orphan now sponsoring another)—these moments remind me of the Prophet's (peace be upon him) promise: “I and the one who cares for an orphan will be in Paradise like this,” holding his fingers together. It's not just aid; it's sadaqah jariyah that multiplies rewards and ripples across generations. Serving in this way has deepened my gratitude to Allah and strengthened my belief in the power of collective compassion.
