This is a heartfelt message in honor of my late grandmother, Fatouma Elhashmi, who passed away a few months ago Allah yerhamha. She was a beacon of kindness and left a positive impact on all those who knew her. Her passing brought together both the Muslim and Jewish communities in Morocco to offer their condolences to our family, demonstrating the profound impact she had on people from all backgrounds.

As Ramadan approaches, I would like to perform Sadaqah Jariyah, a form of ongoing charity, in her name. To do this, I have partnered with Islamic Relief Canada to raise $1,500 to build a hand pump water well. This well will provide a sustainable source of clean water to those in need, benefiting our loved ones in this life and the hereafter inshallah.
