Akram Jomaa Masjid is the largest masjid in Canada.
Imagine a place where people come together in faith, purpose, and unity, a space where worshippers find peace, children learn and grow, and families build lasting connections.
This is the vision behind Akram Jomaa
For years, our community has aspired to strengthen and expand this space so it can better serve worshippers of all ages. A place where prayers are established, knowledge is shared, youth are guided, and community bonds are strengthened.
It facilitates two Jumu’ah prayers every Friday, with a combined attendance of over 5,000 musaleen, led by Sh. Jamal Hammoud and Sh. Youssef Tharaya.
The masjid holds an average of 150 Janazah and Azza services each year. Our Imams provide daily marital counseling and support to many families in our community. AJC supports one of the largest Muslim youth centres in Calgary, offering programs and activities that keep our youth connected to the masjid and their faith.
This centre is more than just a building — it is a hub for worship, Islamic education, mentorship, community outreach, and essential services that benefit us in both this life and the Hereafter. Your contribution today is an investment in a future rooted in faith, compassion, and lasting impact.
