There are families tonight who will go to bed hungry. Children whose biggest dream is something as simple as a warm meal, a safe home, or a chance to learn. While we live with opportunities, comforts, and choices, they live with struggles most of us can hardly imagine.
Allah has given us blessings beyond measure. Food on our tables. Roofs over our heads. The chance to study, to work, to build our futures. And with that comes a test: How will we use what we’ve been given?
These are gifts — gifts that so many long for, yet may never receive without help.
With blessings comes responsibility. We are called not just to enjoy them, but to share them. To be a source of mercy, compassion, and hope for others. Your support is more than charity — it is gratitude in action.
Who Are We?
The Inspire volunteer abroad program at Islamic Relief Canada is a unique opportunity that provides hands-on education to volunteers on the field and at home. Over the past 7 years, we have taken 40 cohorts to 9 different countries to learn from our teams and right-holders on the ground. This program focuses on having volunteers raise donations and awareness while allowing them to serve their communities locally and globally.
What is this for?
This fundraising effort supports Islamic Relief Canada’s community development projects in Pakistan, as well as Islamic Relief's global emergency initiatives wherever the need is greatest. Your contributions will directly empower vulnerable communities, particularly children and youth, through educational programs, psychosocial support activities, community service projects such as school and home rehabilitation, and the distribution of food and hygiene kits. These initiatives address socio-economic challenges, build resilience, and promote long-term self-reliance. Your support will make a lasting impact on the lives of those in need, where it is needed most.
$80 can cover clothing gifts for an orphan
$90 can cover the expenses for an orphan for 1 month
$270 can cover the expenses for an orphan for 3 months
$540 can cover the expenses for an orphan for 6 months
$1,080 can sponsor an orphan for 1 year
What will I be doing?
Throughout the field study, we will focus on providing orphans with psychosocial support and educational activities in addition to distributing food, clothes, and hygiene items and conducting other community service activities. I will also be visiting Islamic Relief projects in the region to better understand the work being done there.
Inspire Program
Islamic Relief Canada’s Volunteer Abroad Programs are a unique way to contribute to some of IR Canada’s international projects. Before volunteering abroad, selected volunteers to raise funds that go directly to the project they will be assisting with.
While on the field study, volunteers will be part of a collaborative program where they will take part in several activities, including peer-to-peer learning opportunities, food distributions, beneficiary home visits, and building refurbishment.
This experience allows volunteers to see an existing IR Canada project, contribute to the project through their fundraising efforts, and positively interact with beneficiaries and project staff.
Islamic Relief: Pakistan
Since 1992, Islamic Relief Canada has been supporting vulnerable communities in Pakistan through WASH assistance, health services, the construction of shelters, winterization kits, livelihood development projects, and the distribution of food (including Ramadan and Qurbani programs). Pakistan is home to more than four million orphans. Being a vulnerable population, orphans are more likely to suffer from malnutrition, food insecurity, and physical/mental abuse compared to children living with their parents.
