What is this for?

Inspire Umrah is a powerful new initiative by Islamic Relief Canada that brings together the spirit of compassion and the sacred journey of faith. This unique program sends Turkish, Syrian, and Uyghur orphaned children and widowed mothers to perform their long-awaited Umrah.

For many of them, this is not only a spiritual milestone; it’s a healing experience after years of hardship, displacement, and grief.

Your donation will help cover essential costs of Umrah for the orphans and widows, including travel, accommodation, spiritual guidance, and basic needs during the trip. What will Inspire Volunteers and Staff do?

Inspire Umrah will be providing care, support, and guidance to orphaned children and widowed mothers from Turkish, Syrian, and Uyghur communities as they fulfill their dream of performing Umrah. Inspire Staff and volunteers will be there to serve with heart, humility, and intention. Here’s what we will be doing on the ground:
Providing Spiritual Support: Help guide participants through the rituals of Umrah, offering gentle encouragement and reassurance throughout.
Being a Source of Comfort: Many of the individuals have faced deep trauma and loss. We will be there to listen, uplift, and simply be present.
Helping Practically: Whether it’s assisting with mobility, managing group logistics, or translating, we will be supporting every small need to make their journey smooth and sacred.
Honoring Every Story: We will approach this journey with cultural sensitivity and compassion, recognizing the unique backgrounds and experiences of each person.

Islamic Relief Work in Turkiye

There are roughly 4 million refugees in Turkiye, with over 3.7 million of them having fled from Syria. Islamic Relief has been actively involved in assisting countless refugees and ensuring their well-being in Turkiye.
