* The Inspire Volunteer Abroad Program *



This year, I will join a volunteering abroad program with Islamic Relief Canada in Morocco. The focus is on learning and engaging with vulnerable individuals and communities through various means including organizing educational activities for orphans, offering psychosocial support programs, and participating in community service projects such as school and/or home rehabilitation and distributing food and essential supplies. Your donations will exclusively contribute to supporting the communities served and long-term projects implemented by Islamic Relief Canada in Morocco.


This fundraising campaign was created for the 2024 Morocco Inspire Trip.



What is this for?
The funds raised will go towards Islamic Relief’s projects in Morocco. This project in Morocco will empower vulnerable individuals and communities and engage with orphan children. Besides supporting the Inspire program, funds raised will go towards improving access and quality of education to students.

* $90 * can cover the expenses for an orphan for 1 month

* $270 * can cover the expenses for an orphan for 3 months
* $540 * can cover the expenses for an orphan for 6 months
* $1,080 * can sponsor an orphan for 1 year

The Inspire volunteer abroad program at Islamic Relief Canada is a unique opportunity that provides hands-on education to volunteers on the field and at home.  Over the past 4 years, we have taken 26 cohorts to 9 different countries to learn from our teams and right-holders on the ground. This program focuses on having volunteers raise donations and awareness while allowing them to serve their communities locally and globally.
*Through this experience, IRC volunteers will engage directly with orphan children in
Morroco to better understand their circumstances and raise awareness.*

None [5] What will I be doing?

Over the duration of the field study, we will focus on providing orphans with psychosocial support and educational activities in addition to house rehabilitation, distribution of food and hygiene items and other community service activities.


None [6] Inspire Program

Islamic Relief Canada’s Volunteer Abroad Programs are a unique way to contribute to some of IR Canada’s international projects. Before volunteering abroad, selected volunteers to raise funds that go directly to the project they will be assisting with.
While on the field study, volunteers will be part of a collaborative program where they will take part in several activities, including peer-to-peer learning opportunities, food distributions, beneficiary home visits, and building refurbishment.
This experience allows volunteers to see an existing IR Canada project, contribute to the project through their fundraising efforts, and positively interact with beneficiaries and project staff.

Islamic Relief Canada has been actively involved in Morocco, particularly in times of crisis. Recently, following a devastating earthquake, Islamic Relief teams swiftly mobilized on the ground alongside local partners to provide crucial aid. Immediate efforts have focused on delivering urgent food supplies, emergency shelter, and basic necessities to affected communities. Recognizing the long-term impact of such disasters, Islamic Relief Canada has initiated plans, in collaboration with local authorities and organizations, to construct permanent shelters. These efforts aim to offer durable housing solutions to families who have endured displacement, providing them with a stable foundation to rebuild their lives. Through these initiatives, Islamic Relief Canada continues its commitment to supporting vulnerable populations and fostering resilience in Morocco's communities.
