Yemen Crisis Appeal
More than 24 million people in Yemen urgently need humanitarian assistance, including over 2.3 million children at risk of starvation. The UN World Food Programme’s recent suspension of general food distributions is expected to worsen the crisis, leaving about 9.5 million people in northern Yemen without food support (Islamic Relief Canada). Islamic Relief is responding across 17 of Yemen’s 22 governorates by continuing to provide food packs and essential food vouchers to families in need.

After more than nine years of war, millions remain extremely vulnerable. An estimated 14 million people lack safe water and sanitation, 19.7 million have limited access to healthcare, and about 6 million are close to famine (Islamic Relief Canada).
