The Orphan Sponsorship Program is one of the oldest running programs with Islamic Relief, having started in the 1980s, and has since grown to support over 80,000 orphans worldwide. The program provides life-saving necessities, improves health and nutrition, implements projects within the community and supports orphans educationally, socially, and morally.

Although I am not permitted to share images of my sponsored orphan for privacy purposes, I am able to provide basic details.
Hasan is a twelve year old Syrian refugee, now living in Turkey with his mother. Sadly, the whereabouts of his father are unknown, classifying him as an orphan. Alhamdulillah (praise be to God), his health, personal wellbeing, and development are assessed regularly by an Orphan Care Officer, and have been deemed adequate thus far.

The donations I collected many months ago have gone to support his food, shelter, education, and healthcare needs. I would love to sponsor Hasan for several years to come in sha Allah (God willing), alleviating any burdens on him and his mother.

My fundraising goal has been set to $2,500, and this amount will cover any of Hasan’s needs for approximately two years.
