After the passing of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), Abu Bakr (RA) became the first Caliph of Islam. Despite his immense responsibilities, he continued to serve his community with humility and dedication.

One day, Umar ibn al-Khattab (RA) noticed that Abu Bakr would leave Madinah early each morning. Curious, Umar decided to follow him. He observed Abu Bakr entering a modest, dilapidated house on the outskirts of the city. After some time, Abu Bakr departed, and Umar approached the house.

Inside, he found an elderly, blind woman living with several orphaned children. When Umar inquired about their visitor, the woman replied, "I don't know his name. He comes every morning, cleans our home, washes our clothes, grinds our wheat, bakes our bread, and prepares our breakfast." Overcome with emotion, Umar realized that this anonymous benefactor was none other than Abu Bakr (RA), the leader of the Muslims.

This story exemplifies the profound compassion and humility encouraged in Islam. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:

"I and the one who cares for an orphan will be in Paradise like this," and he held his index and middle fingers together to illustrate the closeness.
