My Journey to Badr - Your Chance to Change a Life
This November, I will take on the BADR Challenge with Islamic Relief Canada — trekking the historic terrain of the Battle of Badr, climbing three mountains tied to Islamic history, and completing the journey with the blessings of visiting Madinah and performing Umrah in Makkah.
My goal is to raise $3,500 to sponsor three orphans for a full year, giving them food, education, healthcare, and the care every child deserves.

As an Operations and Project Manager at Islamic Relief, I’ve visited projects in Morocco, Kashmir, Balochistan, and Sindh, witnessing both hardship and resilience. What touched me most were the children I met — from orphans in Rawalpindi in 2022, who despite their struggles dreamed of becoming teachers and leaders, to the kids I met in a camp after the devastating 2023 earthquakes, who clung to hope even in the face of loss. These encounters reminded me that our work is not just about aid, but about restoring dignity, nurturing dreams, and giving children the chance to write their own stories. Their courage continues to inspire me, and it’s why I feel a personal responsibility to stand for orphans everywhere.
