Faith & Little Hearts

This November, I will be volunteering with Islamic Relief Canada on a very special journey to Makkah and Madinah, accompanying Syrian and Uyghur refugee orphans and their guardians, many of whom are widowed mothers on their long-awaited Umrah pilgrimage.
These families have experienced unimaginable loss, displacement, and hardship. For these children, this journey is about more than visiting the holy cities. It is an opportunity to experience joy, healing, spiritual connection, and a sense of belonging.
As a volunteer, I will be there to support and accompany these families throughout their journey, helping with their needs, creating moments of connection, and sharing in their spiritual experience.
My hope is to bring comfort to little hearts that have already experienced so much, and to remind these children that they are seen, valued, and not forgotten.
