Who We Are

DarulArqum is a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to serving the Muslim community in Ottawa and across Canada, seeking the pleasure of Allah (SWT). Our first project aims to establish a Masjid, an Islamic learning institution, and a community services center in Gloucester South, close to Riverside South and Findlay Creek.

In 2019, we began searching for a property while hosting weekly Jumu'ah prayers and community events at the Rideauview Center. Thanks to the support of our City Councillor, Ms. Carol Anne Meehan, we secured a purchase agreement for 4269 Limebank Rd., closing the deal on July 30th, 2020.

How You Can Help Donate Today:

Despite challenges, including the pandemic, we acquired the property through personal and commercial Islamic loans. Our immediate focus is on renovating the property, initiating re-zoning, and creating a functional Masjid and community center with minimal alterations.

Currently, we offer five daily prayers while adhering to public health guidelines, encouraging only the local neighborhood to attend to maintain safety.

With Allah’s help and your support, DarulArqum will become a beacon of hope and service for the Muslim community in the National Capital Region and beyond, Insha’Allah
