Empowering Our Mosques, Empowering Our Community
We are thrilled to share the exciting news that Muslims Council of Calgary (MCC) is commencing construction of the Islamic Centre of South Calgary (ICSC). After 15 years of acquiring the masjid land, navigating zoning, permits, and design, finally we are ready to embark on this historic journey. Your generous offerings are crucial in establishing the house of Allah subhanna-wa’taala. Kindly spread the word and join us in this noble cause. Jazak Allah!
Alberta is home of 3rd largest Muslim population.
Calgary’s current population is around 1.7 million and expected to be double by 2030.Â
More than 15,000 families live in deep south Calgary. Currently, there is no masjid available in South Calgary. Islamic center of South Calgary will be the first of its kind masjid project, located at 16555 104 St SE Calgary, AB, Canada.
Phase 1 of the project includes main Masjid, Basement Hall, Library and Multi-purpose rooms.
Phase 2 of the project will add a multipurpose community hall to the center.
Once Phase 1 is complete, the masjid will accommodate up to 800 worshippers. The Center will serve as a hub for Islamic education, weekend school, and various other community needs, including Friday prayers, Taraweeh during Ramadan, Eid celebrations, and Islamic seminars.
