Masjids are more than places of worship—they are lifelines for our communities, fostering prayer, learning, and essential social services for all. The Fort McMurray Islamic Center (The Markaz) is the only masjid in Fort McMurray, making it a vital hub for our Muslim community. For over 10 years, we have been working alongside them to support and strengthen their efforts in serving the community.

The Markaz provides a safe space for worship while offering religious counseling, youth programs, parenting support, crisis management, marriage and funeral services, community projects, and emergency response during disasters.

We are currently under construction and nearing the finish line. With your support, we can complete this vision and build a fully multifaceted facility that will serve generations to come.
