Winter Warmth for Earthquake-Affected Children
Following the recent earthquake in eastern Afghanistan, NSRDO has successfully established 300 Temporary Learning Spaces (TLS) which cover 10 thousand children (boys & girls) in Kunar, Nangarhar, and Laghman provinces, ensuring that earthquake-affected children can continue their education despite challenging conditions. As winter approaches, these children face extreme cold, limited resources, and unsafe living conditions, which directly threaten their health, well-being, and ability to learn. To address this urgent need, NSRDO is launching a fundraising campaign to provide winterization support, including warm clothing, blankets, and recreational kits, to students enrolled in these TLS centers. This campaign aims to: Protect children from harsh winter conditions Ensure continuity of learning during the winter season Support children’s psychosocial well-being through recreational and learning kits Strengthen community resilience in earthquake-affected areas Your support will help transform temporary learning spaces into safe, warm, and child-friendly environments, allowing children to learn, play, and recover with dignity during the winter months. Together, we can ensure that winter does not interrupt education for the most vulnerable children in Afghanistan.
