One Week. Three Causes. Countless Lives to Change.
Across the world, countless families are facing hardships that many of us can hardly imagine. In Palestine, families continue to endure devastating humanitarian conditions. In Sudan, conflict and displacement have left communities struggling to access basic necessities. Meanwhile, millions of people around the world still lack something we often take for granted: access to clean water and proper sanitation.
As part of UTSC MSA Charity Week, I'm dedicating this week to raising funds through Islamic Relief Canada to help support these causes.
In Islam, charity is more than simply giving wealth. It is an expression of compassion, gratitude, and responsibility toward those in need. We may not be able to change the circumstances of every person suffering, but we can each play a part in easing someone's hardship.
Whether you contribute $5, $10, $50, or simply share this campaign with others, your support matters. What may seem like a small act to us can mean so much to someone in need.
Together, let's make this week about more than fundraising. Let's make it about giving hope, showing compassion, and turning our faith into meaningful action.
The opportunity to make a difference is in our hands.
Our campaign lasts just one week, but the impact of sincere generosity can extend far beyond it.
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us that charity does not decrease wealth (Sahih Muslim 2588). With that reminder, I encourage you to give whatever you are able, regardless of the amount.
If you cannot donate, sharing this campaign with friends and family is equally appreciated.
May Allah accept our efforts, ease the suffering of those facing hardship, and place barakah in every contribution. Ameen.
Donate today. Share the cause. Be part of the change.
