Aisha (RA) narrated that the Prophet (PBUH) said: “Slaughter two comparable sheep for a male newborn and one sheep for a female.” [Tirmidhi]
- $260 fulfills an Aqiqah for a boy (sacrifice of two sheep/goat)
- $130 fulfills an Aqiqah for a girl (sacrifice of one sheep/goat)
Livestock designated for Aqiqah are sacrificed on a quarterly basis throughout the year.
