For McMurray: Run For Palestine 2023
Run for Palestine National is partnering with Islamic Relief Canada to support the Al-Makassed Hospital in Jerusalem.
Run for Palestine (RFP) is a family-oriented, fun-filled day across Canada that welcomes all members of the community. Participants can walk 1 km or run 5 km to raise funds for much-needed humanitarian projects helping the Palestinian people.
Our Run has expanded and is now being held in Toronto, Calgary, London, Ottawa, Vancouver, Fort McMurray, Edmonton, and Winnipeg.
This year, Run for Palestine National is partnering with Islamic Relief Canada to support the Al-Makassed Hospital in Jerusalem.
We need your help to build the capacity of a neonatal unit which will care for the needs of newborn babies in the Occupied Palestinian Territories .
Not all wounds are visible, every donation counts.
In 2022, you helped us raise over $166,802 for ‘medical equipment and furniture for the maternity department at Al-Shifa hospital in Gaza’. Due to your strength and devotion, over 4000 attendees across Canada showed their support and participated to help Palestine’s most vulnerable build a brighter future.
Along with your help, we want to strengthen the healthcare systems in Palestine to respond to emergencies and vulnerable patients. The Al-Makassed hospital treats patients from the Gaza Strip, East Jerusalem, and elsewhere in the West Bank.
The project will provide the hospital with the necessary neonatal equipment, essential drugs, supplies, and capacity-building support through in-person and online medical training so that it can continue and augment its lifesaving neonatal care.
