This fundraiser is being organized by
Muhammad Idrees
My grandpa passed away earlier this year, he was an extremely generous and kind hearted man. This fundraiser is a way to honour him through sadaqah jariyah while continuing the good he used to spread in the world. Inshallah it will serve heavy on the scale of good deeds for both him and all those who donate or share this goal!
The Prophet (saw) said, ‘I and the one who looks after an orphan will be like this in Paradise’, and he indicated with his index and middle finger. [Bukhari]
May Allah (swt) make us from among those who are that close to the Prophet (saw) in Paradise, ameen. 🤲

Orphan Charity: Save a child’s life today
For many orphaned children, the reality of poverty is a daily burden. Left wondering: where will my next meal come from? Where are we going to live? If we get sick and can’t afford medicine…will we survive? Every day is a challenge.
Deprived of their education, health care and safe places to play and grow, orphaned kids are incredibly vulnerable and face a bleak future. They need critical care and support – and that’s where Islamic Relief comes in.
With your support, you can help us save orphans and transform the lives of vulnerable children around the world.
Giving Charity to Orphans in Islam
Charity protects one from calamity, acts as shade on the Day of Judgement, and showers us in Allah’s (SWT) blessings. Your Zakat and Sadaqah Jariyah when you sponsor an orphan or provide medical and education support to needy children contains so much barakah.
The importance of giving charity to orphans in Islam is highlighted by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ: “The best house among the Muslims is the house in which orphans are well-treated. The worst house is the one in which orphans are ill-treated.” [Bukhari]
Not only will your donation mean that orphans and their families benefit immediately but these programs will provide the tools to support themselves and pass on to the next generation, and the benefit will be ongoing. It is a Sadaqah Jariyah unlike any other!
This means the effect of your one donation will be multiplied to help orphan after orphan and family after family access food, medical care, clean water, and education in a dignified manner for years to come. It is the gift that keeps giving, and will continuously help you to earn rewards.
Support Orphan Care Project
If you can’t afford to sponsor an orphan on a 1-1 basis, there is still a way you can support orphans and children in need! Through our Orphan Care Projects, your donation is pooled together to support orphans who are in need of some extra care, assist their mothers and even entire orphan families.
For just $30/month or any amount you choose – your support is allocated to meet their most essential needs, including:
Medical Aid: Assistive equipment, surgeries, therapy or treatment
Educational Support: Tuition fees, educational materials, tools, or skills training
Shelter Repair: Home repairs, electricity supply, clean water or sanitation facilities
Orphan Projects: Supporting education, health, social welfare, sports and leisure activities
Through our Orphan Care Projects fund, we work as a Muslim orphan charity to provide child-friendly safe spaces, empower communities and develop long-term solutions to poverty and critical issues such as human trafficking, child labour, and child marriage.
Islamic Relief works with communities to strengthen their resilience to calamities, and we provide vital emergency aid when disasters occur.
We help the impoverished access basic services, including education, water and sanitation, as well as healthcare. We provide lasting routes out of poverty through our sustainable development schemes. Our integrated approach to progress is transforming communities worldwide.
We tackle the root causes of poverty and make sure that the world’s most vulnerable people have real influence in both our programs and advocacy.
Our key values, of compassion, justice, custodianship, sincerity and excellence – a critical part of our Islamic faith - inspire us each and every day to create positive change and remember the sanctity of life.
In line with Islamic teachings on the value of every human life, we provide assistance to whoever needs it most, regardless of race, religion or gender. We work to transform and save lives of people in crisis both Canada and across the world.
Let us share the khair from the blessings Allah has bestowed upon us.
